While reflecting on my future career decisions the past couple days, I had what I referred to as an “epiphany” yesterday. I realized that recently I had spent a lot of time trying to fit into the guidelines of what I was supposed to do and when doing so, blended into the crowd. Now being apart of the crowd isn’t necessarily a bad thing but a tough realization for someone to grasp who has spent a large part of her life trying to stand out. It seemed very fitting that none other than my dad sent me the below quote to start my day (yes, he sends me a quote a day).
“Fitting in is a short-term strategy, standing out pays off in the long-run” – Wise words from a wise man; Seth Godin
